Welcome!! It has been some time now since I prepared a site for my first INR 2002 class, and lots of changes have been made. This year, a web designer with a local software company and a former INR 2002 student, has helped me completely redesign the site. So, we have him to thank for the new look. Other improvements are the new World Sites, also designed by students and intended to help you study learn about countries, and our Class Discussion area, where we can exchange views and learn from each other.

In case you are wondering what professor Emerson looks like, here is an artist's rendition of my "best side." I have been teaching at Miami Dade for 30 years now. For most of the time I was Kendall Campus' Honors Program Director, but am now happily back this year to full time teaching. I have three children, all graduated and making their way in the world. My hobbies are reading, going to the movies, gardening and enjoying life in general. As I work with you my students for this semester, I hope you will help me enrich and expand the site, both with links and ideas on how we can use electronic media to help us all learn.
